Returning to nothingness

Man walks the Earth today with pride-proud of his

accomplishments, degrees, awards, and certificates.

Proud of his wealth, his savings, his property as if

every success was due to his own hard work.

But God reminds us…”Has there [not] come upon

man a period of time when he was not a thing [

even] mentioned?” [Quran 76:1]

There was a time when we were nothing, non-existent.

And who made you?

Nurtured you?

Who fed you?

Who fashioned and proportioned you?

But we walk the Earth as if we are everything.

Little do we know…

we were nothing,

we are nothing,

and we return to nothingness
