You are what you eat
======================
I am a firm believer that you are what you eat.
If you are constantly eating junk, fast-food, or
a lot of processed food, then most likely you
will be a reflection of your food.
Think about it. When we eat, the process of digestion breaks
food down into it’s respective nutrients--whatever little there
may be in some foods. Once the food has been broken down into
their simple units, they are then absorbed into the blood stream
for further chemical changes to make other compounds
that the body needs, or for use around the body.
If you are constantly eating food with little or no benefit to your
body, food that in the process the animal has been tortured,
or food with a lot of artificial chemicals, then you are in turn
creating little or not benefit
to your well-being. We often focus on peace of the mind, but
it is important to realize that peace of the body is essential
for creating peace of the mind.
Just as you are working on the intake of your mind with
positive values and benefits, you need to work on the
intake of foods for your body to do the same.
