Mad, Passionate, Extraordinary Love.

I was speaking to my sister, Suraya, and she asked me, "What
do u think of this quote: 'Unless it's mad, passionate, extraordinary love,
It's a waste of your time. There are too many mediocre things in life.
Love shouldn't be one of them'?"
"Hmm...I don't think i fully agree with it. Well I don't think...I know I
don't agree with it," I said.
You see love goes through a lot of stages. The foundation of it will stay
the same though. This foundations rests on that you truly care for the
other person.
When you initially meet someone there is that crazy, mad, and passionate love,
which shouldn't be mistaken for lust although it is most times. As a relationship
progresses, it doesn't remain as mad and crazy love. While still passionate, it can
resonate as soft, kind, and gentle love, which is just as strong.
I agree to the extent that love shouldn't be boring, but love should be as simple
as being comfortable sitting on the couch together to as adventerous as
exploring unknown territories in the far reaches of the world. However, constantly "volcanic
and fiery" type loves can be disastrous.
My sister replies, "As I am reading your response, I was thinking this:
It could be mad during the beginning stage. Passionate during the middle phase of the
relationship and hopefully until the end. And extraordinary love as you get to know
the person each day."
I couldn't have said it any better.
