The human body is resilient.
A person can go through pain, anguish, exhaustion, and turmoil and even then the human body will keep going.
You have to feed it and exercise it right though.
Eating healthy foods is necessary to keeping skin healthy, bones strong, and muscles active.
The same thing can be said about the brain. In fact, the brain is much more powerful than we would imagine.
The brain is what controls your body's functions.
It helps you breathe when you are sleeping.
It tells your heart to beat so blood can flow through your veins every second of the day for as long as you are alive.
It charges white blood cells to attack when you are sick.
So why don't we use the same principle of feeding and exercising the brain?
You are right. We can't feed the brain food. At least not in the sense of real food. But we can feed it.
When we do feed it, some times we feed it with things that dull and slow the brain.
Too much television. Too much gossip. Too much sitting in front of the computer reading about the lives of celebrities.
We should work to sharpen our minds.
Feed it meditation. Feed it through a good deed. Feed it something outside of your normal routine.
Maybe today you should feed your brain something else.
What will you feed it?
